Visit Napa Valley during the months of February and March and experience the Napa Valley Mustard Festival's eleventh annual
season of sensational events, January 31 through March 27, 2004. This two-month showcase of food, wine, and art celebrates
the rich, unique agricultural and cultural bounty of Napa Valley. Fields, vineyards and hillsides vibrant with wild mustard
in bloom provide a breathtaking backdrop.

Artists from throughout Northern and Central California are invited to enter traditional, contemporary, impressionist, and
abstract flat and three dimensional works of art in the eleventh annual Napa Valley Mustard Festival Visual Art Competition.
World Wide Mustard Competition
Deadline: January 16, 2004
The Napa Valley Mustard Festival presents the eighth annual World-Wide Mustard Competition in 2004. Medals will be presented
at The Awards,
to be held at Copia: The American Center for Wine Food & The Arts in Napa on March 12 at 7 pm.

Photography Contest

The Napa Valley Mustard Festival Photography Contest, now in its eleventh year, has been one of the most successful elements
of the Napa Valley Mustard Festival since its inception. Professional and amateur photographers enter more than 300 photographs
of Napa Valley's glorious scenes of mustard in bloom each year. Prize money totaling $5,250 is awarded annually.

Chefs' Mustard Recipe Competition

The competition will take place at The Awards - on Friday, March 12, 7 p.m. at COPIA - The American Center for Wine, Food
& the Arts in Napa. Napa Valley chefs are being invited to compete for the titles of Napa Valley Mustard Festival Executive
Chef of the Year, Rising Star Chef and People's Choice Chef. Chefs will present their original mustard recipes to a team of
sensory scientists from the University of California, along with a panel of esteemed food journalists, who will judge the
Mustard Recipe Competitions in a blind tasting session. When the doors are opened to the public, the public will have the
opportunity to vote for their favorite mustard recipe presentations and select the "People's Choice" Mustard Festival Chef
of the Year.
