The Napa Valley Mustard Festival celebrates its tenth season of sensational events in the year 2003. This two month season, during which fields, vineyards, and hillsides are vibrant with wild mustard in bloom, celebrates the rich, unique agricultural and cultural bounty of Napa Valley - and YOU ARE INVITED! The Mustard Season offers a full palette of food, wine, art, entertainment, and cultural activities staged throughout the world-famous grape growing region from Saturday, February 1, through Saturday, March 29. Mustard the condiment shares center stage with mustard in bloom throughout the season - appearing at events and in mustard recipes, from entrées to desserts. Please see the Complete Calendar of Events. Indulge in art, music, and exquisite foods and wines at Mustard Magic, the opulent grand opening event, at The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in St. Helena on Saturday, February 1; and wrap up the season at The Mumm Cuvée Napa Photo Finish at Mumm Cuvée Napa in Rutherford on Saturday, March 29. The season's beauty, captured by photographers who enter the tenth annual Napa Valley Mustard Festival Photography Contest, will be on exhibit.
Meet world champion mustard makers and taste the original mustard recipes of Napa Valley chefs at The Awards on March 15 at Clos Pegase Winery in Calistoga. Celebrate the season at The Marketplace, the Festival's signature event, at the Napa Valley Exposition in Napa on Saturday and Sunday, March 15 and 16. Mustards from around the world will be showcased alongside regional food, wine, and art. Play golf on the world famous greens of Silverado at the Napa Valley Mustard Festival Golf Benefit on March 28. After golf, gaze at the magnificent course as you glory in your game at the awards luncheon. A delightful original illustration by world-famous artist Guy Buffet, renowned for his zest and humor, will be featured on Mustard Festival posters, programs, marketing materials, and merchandise. The original artwork will be offered at silent auction throughout the season, going to the highest bidder at The Mumm Cuvée Napa Photo Finish, the season's grand finale event, on March 29.
